Snow-RedFern Grant Award to Parent Life

Posted on by YFC Lincoln

We are thrilled to announce that the Snow-RedFern Foundation awarded Parent Life with a Food Insecurity and Basic Needs grant award. The young moms we work with have had trouble finding baby wipes during the COVID pandemic. Another need recently brought to our Parent Life Director's attention was for bandage materials after one mom and her baby were in a car accident. Those are just two examples of many of the basic items our teen parents are in need of right now. With the blessed funding of Snow-RedFern Foundation we are more prepared to continue to meet the basic needs for the pregnant and parenting teens in our community.

The mission of the Snow-RedFern Foundation is to create opportunities for young people to become thriving adults. We are honored to gain their partnership through this grant as we seek to create opportunities for pregnant and parenting teens in Lincoln to have their basic needs met so that they can then focus on thriving and not just surviving. Parent Life is here to help teen parents finish their education, successfully transition from being teenagers to responsible, caring adults equipped to provide for their children and work toward their life goals.

Thank you, Snow-RedFern Foundation, for the work you're doing in our great state to meet the needs, education, and training of disadvantaged youth, whom you correctly refer to as opportunity youth. We are proud to join with you in giving resources and support to these opportunity young parents so they may reach their potential and bless the generations to come.
