Minnesota Trip 2013

Posted on by YFC Lincoln

Ninety middle-schoolers went on our annual end-of-the-year trip to Minnesota. It’s a fun, long weekend of playing (the students enjoy a Twins game, the Mall of America, and Valley Fair amusement park) and experiencing God (each night has intentional programming of Gospel-sharing truths). During the special “club” time, multiple staff shared their stories, including the hurts, and how God was with them through it all. Staff also shared the truth of God’s story, the hurt Jesus experienced, and the reason He did – His love for each of them. The students were challenged to recognize how much God loves them, to admit and address the sinful mess in their lives, and to invite Jesus into their lives. Of the 90 kids, 85 stood up to show their decision to become Christ followers! Praise God. How awesome for the students who, after a year of being in mentoring relationships with Campus Life volunteers and staff, finally came to realize their need for Jesus to be their Savior! And how awesome for those students who recommitted to walking with Jesus!

More kids like this can be impacted when we all play a part in reaching lost teens in Lincoln. You can choose to volunteer, give, or pray to support Youth for Christ's ministries in Lincoln and the surrounding area. Campus Life, Teen Parents, and Juvenile Justice are essential ministries to reach Lincoln's teens.
