Julie gets God.

Three years ago, I met Julie. She was 14 years old at the time, pregnant, and without support. Julie began coming to our parenting classes, which opened the door for me to walk through life with Julie. Over time, Julie learned that she could trust me and that I and the Teen Parents group weren’t going anywhere. Julie has never had constant support, love, or a safe place to be heard and understood. Julie grew up without much understanding of Jesus or the Bible. Yet, recently she texted me this: “I’m at school today and keep looking at everyone thinking, ‘If they only knew how much God loved them, if they knew Jesus did that all for them, they would be acting so differently.” Julie’s depth of understanding God’s love and life transformation has grown tremendously. I praise God for crossing my path that one September afternoon with a hard, closed off, hurting, 14-year-old pregnant girl.
