Encouraged by continual, genuine support

Posted on by YFC Lincoln

Heather made a decision to change her life while we were in Texas. Heather would fight with her parents and was not happy with the situation that she was in back home. On the trip, Jackie got to talk to Heather a lot. Jackie got to know Heather, and Heather really opened up. After we got back, Jackie continued to talk with Heather, and one day when Heather was struggling, Jackie told Heather she wanted to know what was going on and that she really cared about her. Heather replied that it had been a long time since anyone told her that. Heather went to church with us on Easter, and when a song was played that we sang in Texas, she broke down in tears. The Campus life trip had a dramatic effect on Heather’s life and it established a mentoring relationship in which Heather is encouraged by Jackie’s genuine care and support.

More kids like this can be impacted when we all play a part in reaching lost teens in Lincoln. You can choose to volunteer, give, or pray to support Youth for Christ's ministries in Lincoln and the surrounding area.
