Dylan and Charlotte

Just had to share with you Dylan's story. He has been out of detention for quite awhile, but he keeps calling me and Kyle. I got a call last night from Dylan. He was at Burger King in Havelock and his ride had ditched him. I drove out to pick up him and his girlfriend, Charlotte.
I had met Charlotte one other time this summer when I bought them dinner at Subway. She is now 21 weeks pregnant and thankfully has been pretty healthy, but she had not eaten since breakfast, so I was glad to get each of them a whopper. Charlotte wants to be emancipated at age 16, which I didn't think possible, but she said it is as long as she gets a job. Then her mom can sign off. Can you imagine being pregnant at 15 and having the baby before she turns 16?
Dylan is still not working and is trying to get back into school. Charlotte is back at Lincoln North Star so at least she is doing something positive. All three of us need your prayers. Sometimes it is hard to know what to do with someone who is not working nor going to school.
