Do you know Annie Rohde?

Posted on by YFC Lincoln

She’s obsessed with the game Spot It. The Parent Life crowd plays it often, and Annie loves it because it’s simple to explain, involves zero strategy, and invites team bonding. Annie volunteered in the teen parenting class at Lincoln High School while going to UNL to earn her Bachelor’s in Biology and her Master’s in Public Health with a concentration in Maternal and Child Health. Annie really enjoyed working with the teen parents, and while there, she met our Parent Life staff who co-teach the parenting classes throughout LPS. Annie was eager to come on staff with Parent Life because it fits her perfectly. “I have a passion for women who are in the early stages of their parenting journey; Parent Life is a place where that passion and my passion for Jesus combine,” said Annie. The unique setting that Parent Life provides is one of Annie’s favorite parts. “I love the intimacy of Tuesday nights with my Parent Life teens. These teen parents are the bravest, most open, most willing to grow, and strongest people I know. We talk about tough issues in our pasts, and we make plans for the future. We dive deep,” said Annie. Annie is married to Phillip, and they have two young sons, Brooks and Jude. Annie loves to cook and bake when she has free time; chocolate chip cookies warm out of the oven are her favorite. Help Annie continue to reaching pregnant and parenting teens by giving online.
