I was naked, and you gave me clothing.I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.

Juvenile Justice Chaplain Joins the Team
This month we are excited to announce a new addition to our team—Eldon Dietrich. Eldon has been volunteering at the detention center for many years leading Bible studies for jailed youth. As a part of his new role he’ll be meeting one-on-one with students, working with a team of volunteers, and continuing to teach Bible studies inside the facility. When you get a chance to meet him you’ll instantly see his heart to see incarcerated youth find hope and transformation in the message of Jesus Christ.
Campus Life Goes to Jail
One of the most exciting parts about launching this new Juvenile Justice Ministry is that our connection to these students won’t stop when they are released. Over 60% of Lincoln youth who leave the detention center return to a school where Campus Life already exists. Eldon will be identifying these kids before they leave the facility and introducing them to their school’s Campus Life staff member in order to give them a place to connect and continue to grow in their faith.
Prayer Requests:
· Pray for James, a detained youth who was asking some hard, soul seeking questions at a Bible study inside the facility: “If Jesus was Jewish, should I be Jewish?”, “Do Mormons believe in Jesus too?”, “So, you are saying that Jesus is God?”
· Pray that the hearts of incarcerated students would be softened to hear the Gospel (3 nights a week the Gospel is preached inside the facility)
· Pray for the family of Jon Kennedy, a student who attended Eldon’s Bible study who committed suicide a few weeks ago.
