Breathtaking

As the year draws to an end, I can’t help but look back over the past year with extreme pride.
Our relationships at Parent Life have grown deeper and deeper. Just last week, we established a new level of trust when all the girls began to finally open up to us about their past traumas. Multiple stories of rape, molestation and other unwanted sexual advances were shared, some for the first time with anyone. Deep-rooted wounds were uncovered and revealed. We came together to support one another and share how we overcame our own hurt. It was a tearful Parent Life but restorative and beautiful in the end, complete with Gospel sharing.
The best part of the night was being witness to the older students speaking truth and light to the younger moms. To see the mentee become mentor in moments of vulnerability was breathtaking. God has an amazing way of using our brokenness for His will in order to reach the lost.
