At least that’s what appears on the surface

Posted on by YFC Lincoln

Imagine yourself sitting in a coffee shop.  Across the table from you is Trey who seems to be a normal 17-year-old junior in high school. He is consumed with the business of schoolwork, sports, and other various activities . . . at least that’s what appears on the surface.

When the layers start to come off, you see that Trey is trying to figure out how to handle his parent’s recent divorce, and now, how to handle his dad being in a new, serious dating relationship.

YOUR prayers and financial support have given me the opportunity to sit across from Trey over the last couple of months and walk alongside him through this difficult time in his life. It’s incredible how God can use the circumstances of our past to help minister to those we come into contact with. I have been able to do precisely that with Trey, understanding his emotions and his thoughts.

Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to reach out to students like Trey.
